JAY CUTLER BUSTED FLEEING CRASH SCENE IN SHOCKING HIT-AND-RUN

Welcome to Arrest Stories. Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler's attempt to bribe his way out of a drunk driving crash in Franklin, Tennessee landed him behind bars for four days after pleading guilty to driving under the influence.

Here's what may have happened.

On October seventeenth, twenty twenty four, forty two year old Jay Cutler was driving his white Dodge Ram truck on Bridge Street in Franklin when he rear-ended a blue GMC vehicle. According to police reports, instead of staying at the scene, Cutler attempted to flee but was unsuccessful in his escape.

What happened next shocked investigators. Cutler allegedly approached the other driver and offered two thousand dollars in cash if they would not call police and would let him drive away from the crash scene. The bribery attempt failed, and officers arrived to find a concerning situation.

Police officials stated that during their conversation with Cutler, officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol. The former Chicago Bears quarterback was described as having bloodshot eyes and speaking in a manner that was thick-tongued, slurred and mumbled. Officers noted that Cutler was also slurring his words and had blood shot eyes.

When officers requested field sobriety tests, Cutler refused to cooperate. Authorities then transported him to a local hospital where a blood sample was obtained through a blood search warrant to determine his blood alcohol level.

During a search of Cutler's truck, officers discovered a rifle and loaded Glock pistol in the center console, leading to additional weapons charges.

On August twenty sixth, Cutler appeared in court and pleaded guilty to the DUI charge. He was sentenced to four days in jail at Williamson County Jail beginning September twenty ninth. His bond was set at five thousand dollars, and as part of his plea agreement, the weapon possession charge was dismissed, though he was required to forfeit the pistol.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
