Welcome to Arrest Stories. A forty-one-year-old hospital patient care director has been arrested after maintenance workers discovered hidden wireless cameras in multiple restrooms at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, with investigators finding hundreds of invasive recordings. Here's what may have happened.
On Wednesday, Robert Pinon Shrader was arrested in Montgomery County on charges of invasive visual recording, with bond set at five thousand dollars per charge. The shocking discovery began when engineers servicing the HVAC system found a wireless camera concealed within ceiling tiles of a unisex bathroom in the West Tower.
Hospital security immediately launched an investigation, uncovering disturbing evidence that pointed directly to Shrader. Security footage revealed images of Shrader himself installing the hidden recording device in the ceiling tiles. The first camera, positioned to secretly capture images of people in various states of undress, contained one hundred seventy-five images of unsuspecting victims using the restroom.
The investigation expanded when authorities discovered a second micro SD card in Shrader's office desk drawer, along with another camera still in its box. A second recording device was found in a public bathroom in the Medical Surgery Unit, containing an additional one hundred thirty-one images. Both hidden cameras were strategically placed in ceiling tiles adjacent to exhaust fans in unisex restrooms on different floors.
One restroom was located on the second floor across from the labor and delivery unit, while the other was positioned on the third floor inside the Medical Surgical Unit. Hospital officials expressed their outrage, stating they are "shocked, deeply upset and offended by this individual's illegal and reprehensible behavior."
Authorities emphasized the severity of these violations. Officials stated, "We understand that this is a tremendous violation of privacy. For individuals who were already dealing with the stress of being in a hospital, to learn that their privacy was violated in such a way is truly unconscionable."
Memorial Hermann conducted comprehensive security sweeps across their Woodlands Campus following the discovery. Detectives continue analyzing seized digital devices to determine the full scope of the recording period and total number of victims affected.
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
